Staff gets paid a fair minimum wage so they aren’t relying on tips. But you may want to leave a tip for excellent service.

Aussies swear a lot. Bugger and crap are also just normal day-to-day words. So are other words that you can probably guess. Prime Ministers have even said the f-bomb in public situations.

In Australia they drive on the left. There are also a lot of rules that are strictly enforced. Don’t go over the speed limit either.

This should be a given. The blood alcohol limit in Australia is 0.05%. Don’t even try to drink and drive, police set up random alcohol and drug testing called ‘booze buses’.

Australia is the planet’s sixth largest country after Russia, Canada, China, the USA, and Brazil. Most cities are very spread out and it isn’t that easy to just drive from one city to the next, unless you want to drive for 10 hours.
