6 Things To Know Before Your Australia Trip
There are so many reasons people choose to travel to Australia. Famous landmarks, exploring the beaches, the Outback and more. There are a few things you should know before you travel…
1 Australia is HUGE!
Australia is the 6th largest country in the world. You can’t explore the entire country in one trip. There are so many corners of this great country to explore, all are different, far apart, and so interesting. It can take days getting to point A to point B that may not look far on a map. Make sure to choose where you want to explore and give yourself plenty of time to see what you can.
2 You might need to learn another language to order a beer
In the state of New South Wales, if you order a schooner of beer you will probably get a large beer. But if you go to South Australia, this will get you a small. In Victoria don’t ask for a schooner, ask for a pot. If you travel to the Northern Territory and parts of Queensland, ask for a handle. Sound confusing? Just ask for a pint, it is pretty universal.

3 You will need a 4WD
Renting a car? Make sure it is a 4-wheel-drive. Don’t ecen think about visiting the Northern Territory, Western Australia or inland without one. There are so mnay awesome sights and off-roading you can only access on sandy, unpaved roads.
4 It is not always hot
With the exception of the Outback and Northern Territory which are always hot, Sydney can get cold, Melbourne gets snow. Don’t worry, it isn’t freezing, but you can’t wear a t-shirt and shorts all the time, depending on where in Australia you travel to. Pack a jacket just in case. Questions?

5 Not all Australian animals are dangerous
There are a lot of dangerous animals in Australia. You can find the most dangerous snakes, spiders and more. Here is the deal: most of these animals are more afraid of you. Ok, crocodiles are one exception, but don’t go in the water if you see signs that warn you about crocodiles or jelly fish. There are always signs posted when there is a danger of these animals. It is pretty rare that you will encounter dangerous animals so don’t let his stop you from visiting this incredible country.
6 You Are Never Going to Want to Leave
Leaving Australia is near impossible. The landscape is so beautiful, there are beaches galore, the people are so friendly, the cities are bustling, and you can get any type of food you can imagine! Oh, and the beer is cold and the wine is cheap.
