G’Day, welcome to Australia!  On arrival, the rest of your day is at leisure to do as much (or as little) as you please.  Cultured and cosmopolitan, Melbourne is an architectural gem, lined with gracious buildings built from the profits of the 1850s Goldrush. The wonderfully preserved Victorian architecture gives the city a special charm, reminiscent of the great cities of Europe. Food is a top priority here, with exceptional restaurants and whole areas dedicated to gourmet pursuits. Melbournians are sports fanatics too, cheering on Aussie Rules Football and the Melbourne Cup horserace, while premier festival and cultural offerings all help to make it the events capital of Australia.  Overnight: Melbourne

Day 4, 5 & 6 – Melbourne at your Leisure

See more of Melbourne in your own time.  The city circle tram is a  great way to navigate the city and is free! Wander the tiny laneways to discover boutique stores and cute local cafes offering delicious coffee.  Overnight: Melbourne

Day 7 – Melbourne to Cairns

Today you will fly from Melbourne north to tropical Cairns.  This is the gateway to the Far North and the Great Barrier Reef.  The city is surrounded by lush sub-tropical rainforests, and to the north and south are miles of white sandy beaches and turquoise oceans.  Overnight: Cairns

Days 8, 9 & 10 – Cairns at your Leisure

Discover Cairns and the surrounding area at your leisure.  We highly recommend adding a full-day cruise to the magnificent Great Barrier Reef (additional expense) or perhaps a day visiting Kuranda and the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and our team can arrange this for you (additional cost).  The city center also has many great places to shop for souvenirs or wander the waterfront.  Overnight: Cairns

Day 11 – Cairns to Sydney

Today you will fly south to Sydney.   Arrive and spend the remainder of your day at leisure in Sydney.  This city sits on one of the most beautiful harbors in the world. This vibrant, cosmopolitan gateway to Australia is packed with natural and man-made charms. Its superb beaches, historic neighborhoods, top-notch restaurants, and surrounding attractions combine to make it an essential Australian experience.  Overnight: Sydney.

Days 12, 13 & 14 – Sydney at your Leisure

With so much to see in Sydney, enjoy exploring Sydney at your own pace, or ask our team to arrange a tour for you (additional cost).  Overnight: Sydney

Promotion Rules

This promotion is valid for new bookings only. Bookings must be made at least 14 days prior to the departure date so that there is sufficient time to process the onboard credit. For bookings made within 14 days of departure, a loyalty reward equal to the amount of the earned Onboard Spending will be mailed approximately 4-6 weeks after sailing. The Onboard Spending per Cabin is based on the average cruise fare for passengers 1 & 2 in the cabin after all discounts, future cruise credits, past passenger discounts or other promotional or reduced rates are applied. The calculation of the cruise fare that determines the onboard credit amount excludes government fees, fuel surcharges, hotel, transfers, airfare, insurance, and other fare items.

In the event of a change in the cruise rate (including the application of additional discounts) after the initial booking is made the onboard credit amount will be amended accordingly. Onboard credit amounts may reflect a combination of cruise lines and agency offers. Onboard Credit will appear on the guest’s account aboard the ship and must be used no later than 10 PM on the last night of the cruise. Refunds will not be issued for unused onboard credits nor can they be transferred to another sailing. Some cruise lines do not permit the onboard credit to be used for gratuities or casino credits. The Onboard Credit may not be redeemed for cash; it has no cash value and is not transferable. This offer is based on availability and subject to change without notice. Spending Credit for previous purchases is not permitted and guests who previously booked, canceled and then rebooked are not eligible for this offer. Some additional restrictions may apply.

7.00- 7.30 AM Depart from the hotel.   Our first stop of the day is at Calmsley Hill a working farm also home to Kangaroos, Emus, Wombats and Koalas. Enjoy morning tea and time to wander at leisure. From Calmsley Hill we continue to ascend the Blue Mountains via the highway. We will visit one of a range of stunning outlooks of the Jamison Valley seeing beautiful vistas. Where possible this will be away from the crowds of tours that visit the mountains each day with other operators, thus our guests will enjoy a stress and hurry-free environment taking in the views and information imparted by their guide.

Continuing on we arrive at Eaglehawk Lookout, a remote lookout point away from the crowds for views of the famous 3 Sisters.  Whilst the Blue Mountains feature so much more than this natural attraction you can’t help but admire the unquestionable beauty of this amazing rock formation. The character of the Three Sisters changes throughout the day and throughout the seasons as the sunlight brings out magnificent colours.  Your guide will discuss the legends behind this famous rock formation and the time available for taking some great photos.

Travelling around the mountains, we arrive at Evans Lookout where you will be issued your lunch pack and instructions on the hiking track. This is, without doubt, one of the most scenic hikes available in the mountains taking you across a number of valleys and ridges as you hike from Evans Lookout to Govetts Leap all the while looking out across Australia’s Grand Canyon, The Grose Valley.  The Hike Concludes at Govetts Leap, one of the most famous lookouts in Australia. The magnificent waterfalls drop a whopping 180m to the base of the cliff and the lookout provides sweeping views down the valley to the Grose Wilderness.

(Suitable for active people with a reasonable level of fitness)

Our last stop is at the Blue Mountains Botanic Gardens where there’s time for a short inspection of the flora including the ancient Wollemi Pine (Wollemia Nobilis). From here we commence our return to Sydney to arrive back at your hotel at approximately 4.30 – 5.00 pm.
