9 See the world’s only recorded evidence of a dinosaur stampede

Winton is in Central West Queensland. You can see 3,300 dinosaur tracks which tell a story of a herd of dinosaurs hanging out and drinking on the shore of a lake, about 95 million years ago. Then a large meat-eating dinosaur came and a panic arose, as they stampeded away. You can see evidence of their panic at the Lark Quarry Dinosaur Tracks 120km southwest of the musical fence in Winton.

10 Surf a wave made of rock

Wave Rock is a popular tourist attraction in Western Australia. It is millions of years old and stretches 15 metres high. Visitors to Wave Rock can climb up to the top for a wonderful panorama of the surrounding area, and when viewed at different times of the day the rock’s color alters significantly.
