Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive Christchurch

Today you arrive in Christchurch, "The Garden City."  You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel.  After checking-in, take some time to explore the city: Stroll through the beautiful Botanic Gardens, tour the Cathedral, or rent a bike and pedal through the city to loosen-up after the long flight.

Day 2 - Christchurch to Mt Cook to Queenstown

Journey south, today, through the Canterbury Plains, stopping at Lake Tekapo to view the Church of the Good Shepherd.  Continue on to the impressive Mt Cook National Park, where you might consider splurging for a scenic flight over the Park for incredible views.  This evening, arrive in New Zealand's adventure capital: Queenstown.

Day 3 - Milford Sound

Take a day trip out to Milford Sound, in the gorgeous Fiordland National Park.  Hop aboard a Red Boat Cruise and catch unforgettable views of Mitre Peak and the Sound's many waterfalls.  Travel back to Queenstown, this evening.

Day 4 - Queenstown at Leisure

Discover all that Queenstown has to offer: depending on the season, go hiking, skiing, jet boating, biking, or even bungy jumping!  Make sure you visit one of the city's excellent restaurants - and don't forget to get a bottle of a local Pinot Noir!

Day 5 - Queenstown to Dunedin

Enjoy the beautiful landscape as you travel to Dunedin, also known as the "Edinburgh of the South."  The scenic Otago Peninsula is an often overlooked stop on many itineraries; enjoy your journey through the less-touristy part of New Zealand!

Day 6 - Dunedin at Leisure

A University Town, Dunedin has plenty for travelers to see and do.  Tour the Cadbury chocolate factory, learn the history of beer at Speights Brewery, people-watch at the Octagon (the city center), and attempt to climb Baldwin Street (the steepest street in the world!).  This afternoon, travel south for a tour of the Royal Albatross Colony (seasonal).

Day 7 - Dunedin to Christchurch

Wake up early this morning for your last-minute sightseeing and shopping in Dunedin.  Travel back to Christchurch this evening, where your tour concludes.
